True Street

This will be a dial your own style class. You pick a dial for the week and try to run closest to it without going faster. Time slips that are faster than you dial will be counted as a 30 second run. Your dial must be reasonable for your car’s ability. (20 second dial on a 7 second car, for example)

Must Run a DOT tire (street legal slick or radial will be allowed, must have DOT marking on tire). Must have all factory glass. OEM Steel body (composite allowed if OEM, such as the Corvette body). Composite hoods are allowed. Full Interior required. 3000lbs minimum weight Must meet NHRA safety standards for ET.

Stick Shift

Must be clutch assisted shift transmission. Bruno or Lenco transmissions are not allowed.

Power adder car must weigh a minimum of 3000 lbs.

Naturally aspirated cars must weigh a minimum of 2650 lbs.

4 Cylinder cars must weigh a minimum of 2400 lbs.

All cars must meet NHRA safety standards for ET.

Pro Street

OEM Steel body except for hood, bumpers, hood scoop, deck lid, and rear wing/spoiler. Factory open grille, no full block off grilles allowed. Must retain factory wheelbase. Must have stock-appearing dashboard. Must have stock front frame rails. All Lexan windows must have factory trim. 3000lbs minimum weight and must meet NHRA safety standards for ET.

Chassis must have 8.50 cert..

Class ET will be capped at 5.35.

Limited Street

Must be stock appearing. Must have stock style rear suspension. Tire size is limited to 29.5 X 10.5 Non-W slick or smaller, or 315/60-15 radial or smaller.

Class ET will be capped at 6.39 or 135MPH.

Radial Tire

Must be on a radial tire.

Must be stock appearing. Must meet NHRA safety standards for ET.

Outlaw

This is the class to find out who has the fastest car under the Big Sky! All cars must meet NHRA safety standards for ET. Everything else is free game!

Hot Rod

1928-1970 model year vehicles. No tube frame rails. No wings, spoilers, or air dams. 40’s and 50’s style chopping will be allowed. No radical wheelbase modifications.

No Pro-mod style chassis modifications. No front struts.

The engine may not be set back behind stock windshield location.

Vehicle must meet class appearance.

All cars must meet NHRA safety standards for ET.

Gasser

1970 or older model year vehicles. Some exceptions may be made for newer models if they follow the classic Gasser appearance and fit all other class rules.

Must have classic Gasser appearance. (Raised front end)

No beadlock wheels.

All cars must meet NHRA safety standards for ET.

Naturally Aspirated

NO POWER ADDERS!

This will be separated into small block and big block. Small block being 434 cubic inch or smaller. Big block being 435 cubic inch or bigger.

Must have factory glass, Lexan rear windows in trucks will be allowed for rollbars to go through.

Must have OEM body from the firewall back. No composite doors (unless they are composite from OEM like new corvettes)

Engines must be based upon cylinder-block architecture offered by an OE manufacturer for use in production line passenger cars.

Altered bore spacing is prohibited. Deck height is open.

All cars must meet NHRA safety standards for ET.

Diesel

This class is open to whoever wants to try it. the safety requirements will not be changed. If you do not feel your diesel will not be competitive in this class, you are welcome to enter it into any other class it fits into.

  • Competition is only open to diesel powered vehicles.
  • Must utilize an NHRA accepted lower engine oil-retention device; may use a belly pan in lieu of a device attached to the engine. The belly pan must extend from framerail to framerail and extend forward of the harmonic balancer and rearward to rear engine plate and must incorporate a minimum 2-inch-high lip on all sides. A nonflammable, oil-absorbent liner mandatory inside of retention device. See NHRA General Regulations.
  • All vehicles will be required to have exhausts turned upward away from the track.
  • Steel Valve stems in all tubeless tires required
  • Drive line loop required
  • SFI Spec 16.1 or 16.5 or 16.6 driver restraints required
  •  SFI 1.1 or 1.2 Flywheel / Clutch required
  • SFI 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 Bellhousing or 9.1 Flywheel Shield required
  • SFI 4.1 Transmission Shield required
  • SFI 29.1 flexplate / 30.1 flexplate shield (AT equipped cars) required
  • Aftermarket axles and axle retainers required
  • SFI 18.1 Harmonic Balancer required
  • Full Face Helmet (Must have helmet meeting Snell M2015, M2020, SA2015, SA2020. Shield Mandatory (goggles prohibited))
  • SFI 45.1 Roll Cage padding required
  • Parachute required if running 150mph or faster
  • Air Shutoff required on mechanical fuel pump engines
  • Auto Trans and lower engine containment device required
  • Master Electrical Shutoff (must be located at rear of vehicle and outside the body)

IF RUNNING  4.50 in 1/8th seconds or quicker; or 200 mph and faster

  • A current NHRA Advanced ET chassis certification running 7.49 seconds or quicker
  • A current NHRA Advanced ET license running 7.49 seconds or quicker
  • SFI 38.1 Head & Neck restraints required
  • SFI 3.2A/15 Jacket and pants required
  • SFI 3.3/5 Boots or shoes required
  • SFI 3.3/15 Gloves required
  • SFI 3.3 Headsock or Skirted helmet required
  • Dual Parachute mandatory

No tire size Limitations

Front tie rod strengthening for 4X4 recommended.

JR Street

NHRA Jr Street Rules. Minors will not be able to drive vehicles outside of the following: staging lanes, track, and return road prior to ET shack.

Jr Street will be limited to 10 cars.

Jr Street racers will pick a dial for the week, any time slip turned in faster than your dial or with a red light will be considered a 30 second run.

Road Week

This is for anyone who wants to join the trip without the stress and work of being in competition.

These cars will not count against the 150-car cap.

Road weeker’s will get VIP parking at each track, Entry into the VIP food tent, and entry into the road week poker run.

Poker Run will be like any other poker run. Cars will get a sealed envelope containing a poker card at each track. Must show check point photos to get the envelope.

At the end of the week the car with the best hand will win a prize.
